Refusal to Submit to a Police Officer
Massachusetts Law makes it a crime for any person, while operating or in charge of a motor vehicle, to refuse to stop and/or provide his license, name and address when requested to do so by a police officer.
Although the crime of Refusal to Submit to a Police Officer does not carry the potential for imprisonment, General Laws Chapter 90, Section 25 punishes those found in violation by a fine of $100.
